Following these rules helps keep training safe, clean, and respectful for everyone.

Hygiene

Cleanliness keeps the training healthy and the community comfortable.

    Maintain hygiene

    Shower before training if you are dirty, and always wash your gi and belt after each session.

    Keep your nails short

    Make sure both finger and toe nails are short to prevent injuries.

    Change in the locker room

    This preserves privacy, respects the groups before and after you, and leaves the mat to them.

    Wash your feet before stepping onto the mat

    Keeps the training area clean.

Gear & etiquette

Small things keep the mat safe and the session running smoothly.

    Wear sandals when moving around

    Use sandals when walking between areas so you don't track dirt onto the mat.

  2. 02

    No watches, jewellery, or piercings during training

    Remove all accessories to avoid injuries.

  3. 03

    No zippers on no-gi or grappling gear

    Make sure your training clothes have no zippers to avoid scratches and injuries.

  4. 04

    Arrive on time

    If you arrive late, ask the instructor for permission at the edge of the mat before joining in.
